Aircraft Protection Kits

Kits for over 40 aircraft are in stock and ready to ship. Protective Packaging Corporation is the largest manufacturer of custom-made flexible protection systems in the southwest. We have aircraft protection kits for virtually any airplane you operate. Our Aircraft Protection Kits meet or exceed U.S. Military and FAA standards for mothballing aircraft, and are capable of dependable protection for up to five years in duration. That means you get the quality protection you need, in a hurry.

Each kit comes customized for your particular aircraft. For example, our 727 kit comes with precut covers for intake and exhaust openings for 4 engines, pre-measured desiccant for each of the 4 engines, precut covers for each tire, and covers for cockpit and passenger windows.

We can consult with you on the best methods for mothballing your aircraft. Got a particular problem with mothballing your planes? No problem, we can consult with you on a custom solution based on your individual needs.

Desiccants

Protective Packaging Corporation is one of the largest distributors of desiccant and absorbent products in the country. We stock a large variety of desiccant and silica gel products -- both in Kraft paper and Tyvek® bag -- suitable for a wide variety of aviation applications. Our aircraft desiccant packages contain the exact amount required for each engine. Packages are sized to fit the majority of commercial jet aircraft. If the correct size is not in stock, material can be pre-cut to fit any size required.

Window coverings

Pre-cut flexible roll of FAA-approved U.S. military spec moisture barrier material covers all passenger windows.

Inlet marker ribbons

1” x 1” screen with adhesive backing and orange marker ribbon identifies all air intakes on the aircraft, allowing the hole to breathe without letting insects and other debris inside.

Engine intake covers

FAA-approved Military Spec moisture barrier material forms a perfect fit around the intake of the jet engine. Performs to FAA specifications for humidity control. Unique Humidity Indicator Card placed in front window provides immediate detail of the amount of humidity inside the engine without having to remove the cover.

Canvas wheel covers

Individual covers for each tire provide protection against UV rays, dust and insects for 5+ years. Velco strip holds the cover securely on the tire even in high winds.

Foil wheel covers

Individual covers for each tire protect against moisture and UV rays. Foil is precut to fit over the tire. Tape holds cover in place. Canvas cover can go over the foil to provide long-term protection.
